Senior Azure DevOps Engineer

LEVATE Inc., on behalf of a leading Canadian FINTECH innovator, is looking for a senior Azure DevOps Engineer who thrives in cloud-native, automation-first environments and wants to work on mission-critical financial platforms100% remotely.

What Were Looking For

• 5+ years in Azure-focused DevOps roles
• Strong experience with Azure DevOps, YAML pipelines, and CI/CD automation
• Proven expertise in Bicep, Terraform, or ARM templates
• Deep hands-on knowledge of Azure PaaS and AKS
• Solid understanding of cloud networking (DNS, load balancing, VPNs, firewalls)
• Scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python

• Strong grasp of secure DevOps practices
  
  

Nice to Have

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience

Azure certifications (AZ-400 preferred)

Docker, Kubernetes, Helm experience

Strong observability mindset (metrics, tracing, centralized logging)

Must Have

Familiarity with AI-assisted tools (such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Copilot) for coding, research, or workflow optimization is a strong plus

Design, build, and optimize robust CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar

Automate build, test, deployment, monitoring, and rollback strategies

Ensure environment consistency through pipeline-driven releases

Azure Infrastructure & IaC

Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Bicep, ARM, or Terraform

Automate Provisioning And Management Of

App Services, Azure Functions, AKS

Key Vault, Application Gateway, Azure SQL

Enforce cloud governance, cost controls, tagging, and policies

Security, Compliance & Reliability

Embed security by design into pipelines (secrets management, scanning, code analysis)

Ensure compliance with ISO, SOC2, and OWASP standards

Manage access via RBAC, Managed Identities, and Azure AD

Monitoring & Incident Response

Implement proactive monitoring with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics

Build alerting strategies to detect issues before users do

Support incident response, RCA, and continuous improvement

Agile Collaboration & DevOps Leadership

Partner with developers, QA, and product teams in agile ceremonies

Champion DevOps best practices across teams

Mentor teams on pipelines, releases, and onboarding new services
