Cloud Network Engineer

About the Role:

Enexis is looking for a Cloud Network Engineer to design, build, and automate secure, scalable, and user-friendly cloud networks. You will take a leading role in our EU Digital Sovereign Cloud Pilot, ensuring multi-cloud connectivity, optimizing performance, and maintaining observability and monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement cloud networking solutions for multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, OpenStack/EU cloud).
• Build the technical foundation and DevOps chain (CI/CD, GitOps, monitoring, security, incident/change management).
• Develop migration and recovery strategies for mission-critical services and data.

• Collaborate with teams to share knowledge, optimize processes, and support platform adoption.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (HBO or higher) in a relevant field.
• Proven experience in cloud or platform engineering with sovereign cloud solutions.
• Expertise in networking, DNS (public & private), IAM, Kubernetes, and DevOps tools.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code, observability tools, and cloud services.

• Strong communication and leadership skills; English fluent, Dutch B1+.
