Linux Engineer for Modernization Effort

Teksystems has a client that needs to add a Linux Engineer to their existing team. The role will start off as a long term contract with the potential of conversion with the client.

The client needs help with a modernization effort from Shell to Python scripting. They recently implemented RunMyJobs (a scheduling tool that works with SAP). This person will be responsible for rewriting the scripts in Python, understanding the input and output, and moving it all into the automation scheduling suite (RunMyJobs).

The person who originally wrote the scripts wrote their own custom Unix program to do the scheduling, so it’s not a simple “lift and shift” effort. The ideal candidate will have Linux experience and have excellent experience writing Python scripts. This person will have come from a Linux Engineer role (not devops or apps).

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $65.00/hr.
