📍 Remote (UK-based - Newcastle, London or Scotland)

Our client are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join their growing team supporting and enhancing a modern data platforms. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working on production data pipelines, solving operational challenges, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

🔧 What You’ll Be Doing

• Building and maintaining scalable data pipelines
• Developing and optimising data transformations and structures
• Supporting business-as-usual (BAU) operations, including incident investigation and resolution
• Performing unit testing and ensuring high-quality data delivery
• Producing and maintaining technical documentation
• Contributing to Agile delivery processes and sprint activities
• Assessing impact and validating technical changes
• Delivering enhancements and approved service requests

🧰 Tech Stack

• Snowflake
• Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC – CDI)
• Jira (or similar Agile tooling)

✅ What We’re Looking For

• 1–5 years’ experience in data engineering or similar roles
• Hands-on experience building and supporting production data pipelines
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to BAU support
• Experience working in Agile environments
• Ability to manage workload estimates and priorities effectively

• Experience working in structured service environments
• Exposure to data platform optimisation and performance tuning
• Understanding of data governance and operational best practices
