Perform testing and conflict analysis on new systems and provide results to INL organizations.
Mentor junior staff and train members of IM in effective use of standards and tools.
Document best practices of software engineering and software-defined services.
Develop, install, patch, and upgrade supporting products; establish policies and document procedures.
Ensure efficient utilization of management systems using an architectural approach.

You'll coordinate the design and integration of complete solutions including commercial and custom subsystems, maintain knowledge of emerging technologies to enhance architecture, develop specifications for new products and services, and recommend technology improvements. Your responsibilities include performing system design and programming with correct database configuration, providing best practices for identity management and access controls, offering technical support and modifications to optimize network performance, and managing planning and installation of hardware and software. You'll collaborate with stakeholders to identify requirements, develop customizations to integrate applications and federate services, conduct technical planning and architecture development, mentor junior staff, and document best practices of software engineering and software-defined services.

Essential Job Functions

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a technical field such as Computer Engineering or Engineering Technology and 9 years of relevant experience; or a Masters of Science degree in a technical field such as Computer Engineering or Engineering Technology and 5 years of relevant experience; or in lieu of degree 15 years of direct relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of computer systems/operations, Oracle database, C++ and C# programming languages.
  • Understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems and programming.
  • Knowledge of complex, heterogeneous environments operating Microsoft Windows, Apple OS X/macOS, and Linux systems.
  • Understanding of scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, JavaScript.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this classification, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, bend, use hands to handle materials, manipulate tools, keyboard and type, reach with hands and arms, and operate job-related equipment. Job Information

Idaho National Laboratory is hiring an IT Business Systems Team Lead to work on our Business Applications team. Our team works a 9x80 schedule located out of our REC facility with every other Friday off.

  • The pay range for this position is $114,360 – $234,336. At Idaho National Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.
