Job Overview

Team Lead - NE Essex Early Intervention Psychosis

6 month secondment

We're looking for an EIP Team Lead who can guide a small, passionate multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing timely, person‑centred support to individuals experiencing first‑episode psychosis. You’ll blend clinical expertise with strong leadership, ensuring high‑quality care, smooth operations, and a genuinely supportive team environment.

This is a chance to make a real impact: improving service delivery, nurturing talent, and championing innovation within a forward‑thinking mental health service.

Main duties of the job

You will provide clinical leadership and hold responsibility for the development, organisation, delivery and management of a high quality early intervention in the Early Intervention in Psychosis team. You will support the delivery of services that meet national, regional, trust wide and local commissioning targets. This will include the management of referrals, ongoing cases, prioritisation, allocation and supervision of work within team.

You will oversee the delivery of NICE concordant packages of care and in meeting the Access and Waiting Standard as prescribed by NHS England.

You will have responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other agencies to promote services and develop an integrated approach to care provision for users and carers.

You will assist the clinical manager and service manager in ensuring that the team delivers timely and targeted interventions within the resources allocated, maintaining consistent quality standards and good information systems.

In delivering your duties you are expected to display behaviours that are aligned with the Trust values at all times.
