Job Summary
The Senior IT Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing the company’s IT operations, infrastructure, SaaS environment, and enterprise AI systems. This role ensures operational excellence while proactively improving scalability, security, and efficiency.
Unlike a traditional IT Manager focused primarily on maintenance and execution, this role emphasizes continuous improvement, operational leadership, system optimization, and mentoring technical staff. They will contribute to medium and long-term technology planning — without holding executive-level ownership of enterprise strategy.
This role blends operational leadership with technical depth and will require a hands-on operator who can both run day-to-day IT operations and continuously improve the company’s technology systems as the organization scales
Responsibilities
IT Infrastructure & Operations
- Lead daily IT operations across cloud platforms, endpoints, networking, and identity systems
- Own operational stability, performance, and uptime metrics
- Improve infrastructure scalability and resilience
- Lead disaster recovery testing and documentation improvements
- Identify systemic risks and recommend mitigation plans
SaaS Portfolio Optimization
- Maintain centralized SaaS inventory and ensure governance adherence
- Lead SaaS rationalization efforts to eliminate redundancy
- Partner with Finance to manage licensing and cost optimization
- Evaluate new SaaS requests and provide technical recommendations
- Ensure integrations follow security and data governance standards
Enterprise AI Systems Oversight

- Administer enterprise AI platforms and access structures
- Partner with AI Implementation Specialist to support rollout initiatives
- Ensure AI tools meet security and compliance standards
- Monitor AI usage trends and recommend process improvements
- Contribute to AI roadmap discussions with leadership
Security & Risk Management
- Lead enforcement of security controls (MFA, SSO, endpoint protection)
- Oversee vulnerability management and remediation efforts
- Conduct vendor risk reviews in partnership with leadership
- Maintain incident response documentation and testing cycles
- Elevate risk posture maturity over time
- Support regulatory and compliance initiatives (PCI, data protection policies, etc.)
- Maintain documentation required for audits and security reviews
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Supervise IT staff or managed service providers
- Mentor junior IT personnel as the team grows
- Improve documentation, processes, and service delivery standards
- Provide regular operational reporting to senior leadership
- Participate in cross-functional planning discussions
The Senior IT Manager:
- Influences operational technology decisions
- Manages operational budget execution but does not set corporate IT investment strategy
- Contributes to annual IT budgeting and forecasting
- Provides input on AI and SaaS strategy

Skills / Requirements
- 7–10+ years of progressive IT experience
- 3+ years in IT leadership or senior systems role
- Strong experience in cloud administration (Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, etc.)
- Demonstrated experience managing SaaS ecosystems and vendor relationships
- Experience supporting enterprise AI platforms
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and controls
- Proven ability to improve systems and processes in scaling organizations
- Strong troubleshooting and systems thinking ability
Education & Experience
- Experience in high-growth or scaling environments
- Experience supporting remote/hybrid workforces
- Relevant certifications (Microsoft, CISSP, ITIL, etc.)
- Experience leading cross-functional technology initiatives
