We are seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to join a growing and dynamic Cybersecurity team. This is a hands-on, technical role where you will contribute to complex security projects and support organisations in strengthening their overall security posture.
This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who has gained exposure to security design or architecture and is now looking to progress towards a Cloud Security Architect position.

You will be part of the Identity and Architecture function, applying your cyber-security expertise to build, implement, and improve secure solutions across cloud and hybrid environments.
Your Responsibilities:
- Build and implement security solutions for cloud and on-premises environments.
- Support the design of secure architectures and contribute to solution decisions.
- Work alongside Architects to help shape secure cloud and hybrid solutions.
- Review existing systems and configurations to identify security improvements.
- Assist with security assessments for current systems and new projects, ensuring alignment with best practices and policies.
- Identify, analyse, and help remediate security vulnerabilities.
- Contribute ideas to enhance security across the organisation and its clients.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to support secure delivery of projects.
- Stay up to date with emerging cloud security technologies and trends.
Your Experience:

- Proven hands-on experience working as a Cloud Security Engineer.
- Experience with at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Solid understanding of core cloud security principles across cloud and hybrid environments.
- Familiarity with security standards and frameworks such as NIST, CIS, ISO, or NCSC.
- Strong communication skills with a desire to progress into an architecture-focused role.
- Design or architecture experience (circa 1–2 years) is desirable.
- Eligible for, or holding, UK Security Clearance (SC or above) is desirable.
- Relevant cloud or security certifications are a plus.
