INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY and DATA MANAGER (or COORDINATOR)

TYPE: Salaried exempt (Manager) or hourly non-exempt (Coordinator) 


DEPARTMENT: Business Continuity


REPORTS TO: Chief Executive Officer


LOCATION: Remote or Corporate office (relocation covered)


ROLE DESCRIPTION: The Information Technology and Data Manager (or Coordinator) is responsible for all aspects of the company’s technical infrastructure and assets including hardware, software, networking, cybersecurity, telecommuncations, and data. The Manager’s primary role is ensuring that the company’s technical infrastructure and assets are functional, organized, well-maintained, efficient, and secure.


REQUIREMENTS:  The Manager shall:


  • Have dry cleaning, laundry, or closely related garment care industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Understand the typical dry cleaning technology stack, including point of sale systems, payment processing, customer databases, reporting systems, telecommunications, device management, and data integrations.
  • Possess working knowledge of the typical hardware stack used in dry cleaning operations, including computers, printers, barcode scanners, card readers, kiosks, networking equipment, cameras, access control systems, and production-floor terminals.
  • Have in-depth understanding of dry cleaning and laundry data structures, including customer records, orders, garments, tags, invoices, routes, payments, inventory, employee timekeeping, and production tracking.
  • Be familiar with automation and production equipment technology commonly used in the industry, including conveyors, kiosks, scanning systems, assembly systems, and other equipment-connected operational tools.
  • Understand payment systems and related compliance requirements, including card readers, processor connectivity, PCI-conscious handling, and troubleshooting payment-related issues.
  • Be able to support and troubleshoot technology across both retail and plant environments.
  • Be capable of translating operational workflows into technical processes, reporting, controls, and automation improvements.
  • Have strong problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage sensitive business and customer data with discretion.
  • Have advanced computer, systems, and technical troubleshooting skills. 


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DELIVERABLES: The Manager is responsible for:


  • Management, troubleshooting, and subject matter expertise of the company’s complete tech stack, including:
  • Setting up and maintaining a ticketing system to track system downtime and incident response
  • Hardware systems such as computers, phone systems, accessories, networking equipment, cameras, IoT devices, access control systems, equipment terminals, etc.
  • Operating systems and cloud platforms
  • Equipment-specific tech such automated kiosks and conveyor systems
  • Point of sale systems and Inventory management systems
  • Digital, digitally-enhanced security systems, and physical access control systems
  • Device and profile management systems
  • Business intelligence and data visualization systems 
  • Financial data systems 
  • Human resources information systems 
  • Data integration systems
  • Domain management systems
  • Communication systems 
  • Telecom platforms
  • Any other technical infrastructure or assets as the company may require


  • Technical asset inventory tracking and life cycle management, including:
  • Computers, phones, telecommunications equipment, accessories, ink cartridges, cameras, access control systems, IoT devices, equipment terminals, wires, adapters, networking equipment, barcode scanners, card readers, etc.
  • Building and maintaining a complete technical inventory and network map
  • Organization and upkeep of the server/IT room
  • Any other technical infrastructure or assets as the company may require


  • Data and database management, including organization, integrations, imports, data entry, and data hygiene such as:
  • Point of sale and customer data
  • Human resources data
  • Inventory data
  • Accounting and financial data from
  • Data-linked reporting, spreadsheets, and data visualization such as invoice tracking, revenue and cost reporting, KPI tracking, or similar
  • Data-based anomaly detection and auditing such as timeclock (scheduling) and fleet management (driver compliance) issues
  • Converting physical data to digital such as from uniform or other B2B piece counts
  • Consumer privacy and data retention policies and enforcement
  • Any other data issues as the company may require


  • Cybersecurity initiatives, including:
  • Network and device permissions and settings
  • Password and credentials management
  • PCI compliance
  • Secure repurposing or secure recycling of technical assets


REQUIREMENTS: The Manager shall:

  • Have availability to work variable shifts and schedules, as well as troubleshoot issues outside of regular business hours
  • Have reliable transportation to and from the corporate office
  • Advanced computer and technical skills


SPECIAL KPI’s and INCENTIVES: In addition to the performance of their overall scope of duties, the Manager shall also specifically be evaluated and may receive discretionary bonus compensation based on:

  • Operational implementation
  • Reducing critical system downtime
  • Average incident response cycle time
