Founding Systems Architect for Market Making and HFT

Founding Systems Architect | Singapore | Market Making | Rust | HFT | $400k+

We are working with a global exchange in Singapore to build out an algorithmic trading team specialising in HFT/MFT capabilities across multi assets. The role itself will be as a founding systems architect who will work directly with traders and researchers to build out the system from the ground up.

Relocation is required and will be covered as well as visa sponsorship!

Role Responsibilities

• Architect and build the end-to-end market-making platform, including pricing, quoting, risk, order management, and market data systems.
• Lead low-latency system design and optimization within cloud-based environments.
• Develop resilient exchange connectivity and implement safeguards against outages, API instability, and rate limits.
• Define engineering standards, best practices, and collaborate closely with traders to align technology with strategy execution.

Role Requirements

• 10+ years of experience building market-making, HFT, or real-time trading systems.
• Strong expertise in C++ or Rust for performance-critical systems, with Python for supporting infrastructure.
• Proven experience architecting end-to-end trading platforms across market data, execution, and risk.
• Deep understanding of exchange APIs, low-latency networking, and collaboration with trading or quant teams.
