About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Android Developer with expertise in Kotlin and Java to join our dynamic team on a fully remote, contract basis. This role involves working on cutting-edge mobile applications for well-known brands, focusing on developing and maintaining robust, scalable, and user-friendly Android platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mobile app development, experience with GraphQL and REST APIs, and familiarity with React Native and other related technologies. Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess a solid background in Android development with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience. Experience working with GraphQL and REST APIs is required, as well as familiarity with React Native for cross-platform development. Knowledge of Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM), Android Pay, and JitPack will be advantageous. Candidates should demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and the capacity to work independently in a remote environment. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Android applications using Kotlin and Java. Key responsibilities include integrating third-party services such as Firebase Cloud Messaging and Android Pay, working with GraphQL and RESTful APIs to fetch and send data efficiently, and collaborating with UI/UX designers to implement intuitive interfaces. The developer will also be involved in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure optimal app performance. Additionally, the role requires staying updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in mobile development, contributing to technical documentation, and participating in agile development cycles to meet project deadlines. Effective communication with team members and stakeholders is vital to ensure project goals are achieved seamlessly.
