QA Automation Engineer
Location & Modality
- Location: Fully remote (availability during CET / Vienna working hours)
- Schedule: Full-time, 8 hours/day
- Contract duration: 3 months (with possibility of extension)
- Rate: 190 - 205 USD/day
Role Overview
We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer to act as a key quality assurance focal point within development teams, ensuring high-quality delivery of software applications and services. The role combines hands-on automation, testing strategy, and collaboration within agile environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the QA focal point between development teams and QA stakeholders
- Design, create, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases and test plans
- Support software development lifecycle and release validation processes
- Contribute to test automation frameworks and quality assurance strategies
- Participate in requirements analysis, system design, and QA processes
- Produce technical documentation, including test cases, user stories, and reports
- Communicate testing results and prepare QA reports and documentation
- Ensure alignment with QA standards and continuously improve QA practices
- Stay updated with latest QA tools, methodologies, and industry trends
- Perform additional QA-related duties as required

Delivery & Performance
- Work within an Agile framework (SCRUM)
- Tasks assigned and tracked daily by the QA Unit Lead
- Deliverables validated upon formal sign-off
Required Skills & Experience
- +3 years of hands-on experience in:
- Software QA within medium to large development teams
- Test automation frameworks and automated testing suites
- Agile methodologies (SCRUM) and release testing
- Test management and integration with tools like Azure DevOps
- UI test automation using Selenium with C#/.NET
- Supporting distributed teams and stakeholders
- +1 year of experience with:
- Git (branching strategies, pull requests)
