Scala Developer for Distributed Engineering Team

My client from the iGaming industry is looking for a Scala Developer to join a distributed engineering team focused on the delivery and maintenance of mission-critical backend services.

This is a fully remote position to work from Europe, in a B2B contract. (Payroll system available for candidates living in Spain)

💰 Salary: From €65k to €70k gross/year.

🔸 Fully remote position in Europe.

🔸 Experience in the Gambling industry is mandatory

🔸 Paid holidays

Location: Remote (preferred within ±3 hours CET timezone)

Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week, Monday to Friday)

Skills and nice to have:

• 4+ years of professional experience as a Scala developer.
• Elasticsearch & Kafka – Solid data querying and stream processing skills.
• Event Sourcing & Akka – You know how to build systems that don’t break under pressure.
• Cassandra/NoSQL – Data modeling is second nature.
• Docker & Kubernetes – You understand containerization and deployment well.
• GraphQL – You’ve built and consumed APIs with it.
• GRPC – Familiarity with efficient protocol design.
• Play Framework – Experience building responsive web applications.
