Flight Software Platform Engineer

The Flight Software team at Anduril develops flight computer vehicle software for all airborne and subsea vehicles. The right person for this role has experience in both commercial (product focused) and public sector (defense) technical environments, and is looking to leverage their passion for avionics and flight software.

As a Flight Software Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for developing the software infrastructure to scale the flight software organization by orders of magnitude. Anduril has a collaborative culture with plenty of opportunities for ownership. Anduril has been selected as one of two vendors to move forward on the Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) program for the Air Force's flagship autonomous aircraft program. What You’ll Do

• Enable order-of-magnitude increases in developer productivity through reusable software
• Pushing the boundaries of scalable embedded software development
• Build the "taco bell" of safety critical flight software
• Creating packaging and distribution infrastructure at scale
• Develop abstraction layers for integrated vehicle control systems
• Create reusable HITL and SITL infrastructure

• Scaled from a small company to a large company (order of magnitude increase in dev team sizes + LOC)
• Experience w/ scaling product development
• Strong C/C++ programming skills

• Experience with software packaging and distribution systems (Nix, Bazel, etc)
• Background in embedded software architecture, design and development
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, etc., or equivalent experience
• Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. security clearance

US Salary Range

$166,000—$220,000 USD

Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
