🎯 Role Overview

On behalf of one of our clients, we are looking for a Java Specialist to support the re-platforming of Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) services within a complex and regulated IT architecture.

The assignment focuses on modernizing integration layers and enhancing connectivity between systems within a Treasury Risk Management (TRM) ecosystem, ensuring efficient handling of market data and event-driven processing.

⚙️ Responsibilities

• Develop interfaces within the TRM Connectivity Module (Java / Spring Boot based)

• Implement services exposing data via web services, Kafka, MQ Series, and REST APIs

• Integrate incoming data streams (market data, events) into TRM systems

• Apply object-oriented design principles and design patterns

• Develop using test-driven development (TDD) methodologies

• Participate in test automation frameworks and quality assurance processes

• Contribute to build, deployment, and release automation pipelines

• Ensure code quality, scalability, and maintainability

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support knowledge transfer throughout the assignment

🧠 Required Skills

Critical

• 11+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on Java back-end development

• Strong expertise in Spring Boot and object-oriented design

Mandatory

• Proven experience in test automation and TDD (Cucumber is an advantage)

• Solid background in web services (WSS) – strongly weighted in evaluation

• Hands-on experience with Kafka and/or IBM MQ Series

• Experience with build and release automation (Jenkins)

• GitHub for source control and release management

• Fluent in English (C1+)

Additional requirements

• Experience in complex, multi-stakeholder, regulated environments

• Strong clean code and integration governance mindset

• Ability to integrate quickly into an active program and deliver autonomously
