Senior Full Stack Java Developer

Role Description:

Title:       Full Stack Java Developer

Location:   Chicago, IL (Relocation works, just need to commit to moving to CHI within 1 month)

Duration:   12 months - CTH

Rate:       $55 - $57/ hr. on C2C

Day to Day:

The Senior Software Consultant will perform full-stack development across the complete development life cycle delivering highly available cloud solutions and adding new capabilities to existing applications. Works with development teams and ensures the best practices are adhered to in areas such as unit and integration testing, CI/CD, documentation, security, and software design principles.

Frontend: 50% working on new features

Backend: 50% working on new features

Must Haves:

At least 7-8+ years' of experience as a Java/J2EE Developer

• Refactoring/modernizing backend application using Spring (Microservices-based approach)
• OOA/OOD (object-oriented analysis & design)
• Design Patterns (Singleton, Factory, etc)
  
  
  

4-5+ years' experience with Spring Boot/Spring framework on the backend. Expects to see some experience with other Spring components like: MVC, Security, Cloud, Transaction, etc.

3+ years' experience using Angular framework on the frontend.

3+ years' experience creating CI/CD pipelines using GitLab/Github/Jenkins

Some experience working with Docker, Kubernetes (EKS).

• Should fully understand how both of these work end to end.
• Hands-on experience preferred (Not required).
• Need to understand how EKS deployments happen.
  
  
  

2-3+ years of experience (bare minimum) working and adding new features on AWS cloud.

• AWS Services: SQS/SNS, Opensearch, AWS Lambda, AppSync or GraphQL, Networking.

2+ years' experience with App servers (Tomcat, JBoss).

3-5+ years' experience with APIs SOAP/REST webservices (Mainly REST)

2+ years of messaging experience with Kafka (preferred) or Kineses.

3+ years' experience with MySQL & MySQL Aurora (Amazon Aurora MySQL)

2+ years' experience using Talend as an ETL tool.

• Talend is an ETL tool that provides solutions for data integration, data quality, data preparation, big data, and application integration.
  
  
  

Medium to advanced level experience with SQL on the backend (ability to write mid/advanced queries).

Great communication skills.
