About the Role

The Sr. Director Engineering, Head of Internal Technology will lead the IT and Business Systems teams responsible for powering a global, remote-first workforce. This role is pivotal in driving AI integration into internal workflows, enhancing organizational productivity, and shaping the internal knowledge ecosystem. Reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer, the position involves strategic leadership to architect and deliver internal technology platforms that support scalable, efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI strategy to transform internal workflows and knowledge sharing
• Manage the engineering lifecycle for internal platforms, balancing build vs. buy decisions
• Drive innovation to improve organizational speed and reduce internal friction
• Mentor and develop a collaborative team of managers and engineers
• Execute a product-focused roadmap for internal technology tools
• Define success metrics to ensure operational resilience and productivity
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Engineering to align technical solutions with business needs

Requirements

• 12+ years in technical roles with expertise in cloud systems, cybersecurity, and LLMs/AI application
• Proven experience managing managers and scaling developer productivity tools
• Strong leadership focused on psychological safety and team empowerment
• Commitment to challenging existing IT practices and continuous improvement

Compensation

$221,000 — $277,000 USD annually
