Senior / Principal Embedded Software Engineer | Space
📍 El Segundo, CA (Onsite) - Relocation Support Provided
💰 $160k – $230k + Equity
We’re working with a well-funded space technology company building next-generation spacecraft and reentry systems, enabling manufacturing in orbit and bringing materials back to Earth.
As they scale their engineering team for upcoming missions, they’re looking for experienced Embedded Software Engineers to work close to the hardware and play a key role in how these systems physically operate.
What you’ll be doing:
• Developing low-level C++ embedded software on real hardware
• Working across RTOS, embedded Linux, or bare-metal environments
• Interfacing directly with avionics hardware, including sensors, RF, and power systems

• Building and integrating software at the driver and communication layer
• Contributing across the full lifecycle from design through to testing and flight operations
What they’re looking for:
• 5+ years (Senior) or 8+ years (Principal) embedded software experience
• Strong C++ in embedded or real-time systems
• Experience working close to hardware, drivers, or communication protocols
• Background in aerospace, robotics, automotive, or other safety-critical systems is a plus
• Ownership of projects end to end
• Ability to work onsite in El Segundo
