Seeking an experienced cable design professional to support delivery of major power and energy projects across the UK and Europe, including HV substations, transmission systems, HVDC interconnectors, and energy storage.

- Lead HV/EHV cable design across all project stages (FEED to detailed design)
- Deliver HVAC and HVDC cable system designs and technical solutions
- Prepare specifications, design reviews, and technical documentation
- Perform key calculations (cable sizing, ratings, EMF/TMF, sheath voltage)
- Provide technical guidance and support to engineering teams
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and contractors
- Support FAT, site activities, and project delivery
- Ensure compliance with CDM, safety, and quality standards
- Maintain strong client and supply chain relationships

Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Chartered Engineer (IET) or working towards
- CDAE and TP141 (preferred)
Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in HV/EHV cable design (132kV–400kV)
- Proficient in CYMCAP and COMSOL
- Knowledge of UK transmission and DNO standards
- Experience leading technical workstreams
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under pressure
