Description
This role is for an IT Site Manager at our ENTEK Terre Haute, Indiana location (relocation to within 40 miles of Terre Haute is required).
The Site Manager is responsible and accountable for computer systems and software in a 24x7 manufacturing environment, has a broad range of IT experiences to support both business and production operations and equipment, provides strong configuration, installation, and troubleshooting of Microsoft products, network fundamentals, and a wide range of computing equipment. This position leads, mentors and manages a team of Client Engineers that provide daily support. This position will participate in building of new plant, providing onsite support to ENTEK and non-ENTEK personnel, and installation of new hardware and systems.
This Job Involves The Following
- Manage and participate, along with other groups, in the implementation of hardware, software, and networking systems.
- Plan, organize, control and evaluate helpdesk operations
- Manage IT staff by training and coaching employees, communicating job expectations and appraising performance
- Prioritization multiple tasks and projects for self and team
- Implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures
- Monitor and manage information technology and computer systems, ensure alerts are responded to, and on call after hours escalation chains are operational
- Escalate to other IT groups as necessary
- Ability to switch between strategic (big picture) and tactical (detail) thinking
- Manages IT budgets and procurement responsibly, justifying costs and optimizing resources
- Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
- Align with user needs and business goals to contribute to organizational success.
- Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in timely manner
- Audit systems and guide any required actions

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

- 5 – 8 years in IT roles, with at least 2 – 3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity
- BS in Computer Science, MIS, or similar field
- OR a minimum of five years related experience and/or training
- OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proven working experience as an IT manager or relevant experience
- Experience with enterprise software, including on-prem, hosted, cloud, and SaaS
- Working with international teams or in a global IT environment

- Strong experience in a mid-size enterprise
- Communication skills for liaising with technical and non-technical end users
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
The hours for this role are Monday-Friday, beginning at 7:00 am. Evenings and weekends as needed according to business needs.
The employee may be asked to work in manufacturing plants at times. The job may require the employee to work near moving mechanical parts. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may also occasionally be exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals in the plant environment. The noise level in the production facility is usually loud, and this employee will occasionally be exposed to the production area. Appropriate PPE will be provided to the employee, which the employee is required to utilize appropriately.
