Engineering Manager - Machine Learning and Data

We are building a large scale AI driven data platform focused on transforming how manufacturing data is collected, structured, and used. The platform powers multiple applications and is expanding globally.

We are hiring an Engineering Manager to lead a machine learning and data focused team and drive both technical execution and team growth. This role sits at the intersection of product, data, and engineering, and has real influence over product direction and business impact.

What You Will Do

• Lead and manage a team of machine learning and data engineers
• Translate product strategy into execution plans and technical priorities
• Support hiring, evaluation, and development of team members
• Oversee delivery of data pipelines and machine learning models in production
• Collaborate closely with product, application engineering, MLOps, and SRE teams
• Help scale processes and ways of working as the organization grows globally

The Team

You will lead a data analysis focused group within a broader data and AI organization. The team works with complex manufacturing data such as drawings, CAD data, documents, and structured datasets. Some team members are based overseas, and collaboration across regions is part of the role.

Required Experience

• Experience building and deploying machine learning models as a software or ML engineer
• Experience managing and delivering results with teams of ML or data engineers
• Business level Japanese communication skills for daily work and meetings
