Cloud Engineer – GCP Migration (FinTech)

6-Month Contract | Remote | $80/hour

We’re supporting a fast-growing FinTech business delivering a large-scale migration to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role sits within a hands-on cloud delivery team focused on building secure, scalable infrastructure as part of a critical transformation programme.

Responsibilities

• Deliver cloud and application migrations to GCP
• Build and manage infrastructure using Terraform (IaC)
• Deploy and operate containerised workloads on Kubernetes / GKE
• Work closely with architects, DevOps, and security teams
• Support dev, test, and production environments

• Ensure reliability, performance, and security best practices

Required Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with GCP
• Proven Terraform experience in production
• Kubernetes / GKE experience on live environments
• Background in cloud migration or platform modernisation projects
• Solid understanding of networking and Linux
• Experience working in fast-paced, delivery-focused teams

Nice to Have

• CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab, Cloud Build)
