Job Description


This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an AI Security Engineer in the United States.

This role offers the opportunity to be at the forefront of securing next-generation AI-driven systems within a fast-growing fintech environment. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety, reliability, and compliance of AI-powered workflows, application security, and infrastructure, helping protect critical financial operations for millions of users. This position provides broad exposure to cutting-edge security projects, including agentic AI governance, code and infrastructure review, and implementation of technical controls to prevent data exfiltration or misuse. You will work closely with product and engineering teams, defining secure patterns while shaping the organization’s AI security strategy. Accountabilities

  • Lead security initiatives across AI systems, applications, APIs, and infrastructure, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
  • Define and enforce guardrails for AI-powered tools, including protection against prompt injection, excessive permissions, and data exfiltration
  • Conduct security reviews of code, applications, and public-facing APIs, and provide remediation guidance to engineering teams
  • Develop and implement internal AI governance frameworks, covering acceptable use, data handling, and audit requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to centralize authentication, permissions, and secret management
  • Support SecOps pipelines, threat modeling, and security alert triage for AI-driven processes
  • Mentor and guide team members on secure engineering practices and risk mitigation strategies

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in information security or related technical roles, including at least 2 years in a security-focused position
  • Strong experience in Python programming, with familiarity in securing backend services
  • Knowledge of AI safety, LLM tools, and risk mitigation for agentic AI workflows
  • Experience with application security, penetration testing, and vulnerability management
  • Familiarity with security frameworks such as ISO-27001, PCI-DSS, or other relevant standards
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced, and dynamic environment
  • Interest in mentoring and growing security practices across a distributed team
  • Fluency in English; experience with global teams and remote collaboration preferred
