Team Name:
Marketing
Job Title:
Producer, Global Events | Irvine, CA
Requisition ID:
R027040
Job Description:
Do you notice the little things that turn a good event into an unforgettable one? Do you love building experiences that make people feel welcomed, connected, and excited—whether they’re in the room or tuning in from across the world? If you’re a proactive problem-solver who thrives in fast-moving projects, and you’re energized by gaming culture (video games, fantasy, sci‑fi, comics, tech, and everything delightfully geeky), you might be the person we’re looking for.
Blizzard Entertainment is looking for a Producer, Global Events who can help bring experiences to life from concept through execution—spanning in-person, virtual, and hybrid formats. You’ll apply strong creative, technical, marketing, communication, and project management skills to support everything from intimate gatherings to large-scale global moments like BlizzCon. Our events may support media, product launches, brand and community marketing, and internal culture—always with an eye toward audience experience, accessibility, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with the Events team and cross-functional stakeholders to plan and deliver experiences that feel cohesive, welcoming, and on-brand
- Lead pre-planning activities including objectives and success metrics, audience and experience strategy, venue/vendor sourcing, and feasibility
- Own vendor sourcing and selection, including RFP/RFI development, scope alignment, contract negotiation, and partner onboarding
- Support (and at times lead) experience and production design for scenic/booths/activations; oversee install/dismantle, logistics and staffing, IT/AV, travel, and run-of-show needs
- Create, maintain, and share core production documentation (briefs, milestone schedules, floor plans, show flows/scripts, production schedules, surveys) with internal and external partners
- Support budget planning, tracking, and reconciliation; surface tradeoffs early and help drive cost- and time-efficient decisions
- Own quality control from early documentation through on-site/on-air execution—ensuring the final experience meets brand and audience expectations
- Build and maintain integrated milestone schedules with internal and external partners to keep deliverables on track across multiple workstreams
- Run post-event retrospectives and continuously improve processes, experience quality, and operational efficiency
- Define, gather, and report on event insights (e.g., attendance/engagement, content consumption, satisfaction) to inform future strategy
- Stay current on event trends and emerging formats (hybrid production, interactive fan engagement, streaming, experiential tech) and translate relevant ideas into our work
- Champion inclusive experiences by partnering on accessibility, attendee support, and clear communications across touchpoints
- Support event readiness by coordinating run-of-show reviews, contingency planning, and on-site/on-air issue triage with key partners
- Build strong, trusted relationships with internal partners and external vendors through clear expectations, follow-through, and collaborative problem-solving
- Set measurable goals that align to team priorities and contribute to department and company outcomes
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support team deliverables
