Job Description
Bellese is a mission-driven Digital Services Company committed to pioneering innovative technology solutions in civic healthcare. Our dedication lies in making a meaningful impact on public health outcomes.
Driven by service design, we strive to know the “Why” to understand the healthcare journey for patients, caregivers, providers, payers, and policymakers. Our goal is to design and build solutions that reduce confusion, provide clarity, support decision making, and streamline the process so that we and our partners can focus on providing better health outcomes by improving patient care and reducing costs and burden.
Bellese Technologies is looking for an experienced Principal Product Manager to lead strategy for one of our distributed teams that support the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) federal agency.
HQR
Our team is charged with maintaining and improving the software at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) that supports the Hospital Quality Reporting program. Thousands of hospitals across the country depend on these systems to submit quality measure data that reflects the care beneficiaries receive in their facility. Our teams will continuously strive to modernize these systems, while improving them in ways that reduce provider burden and minimize costs to CMS. We do this through HCD and Service design practices, product thinking, and skilled engineering. At Bellese, we’re relentlessly focused on enabling and empowering providers to focus on improving the quality and safety of patient care.
As a Principal Product Manager at Bellese, you are a recognized authority in product management, agile delivery, and digital services — setting long-term vision, shaping strategy in partnership with executive stakeholders, and translating high-level goals into roadmaps that drive meaningful outcomes for clients and the communities they serve. You have a deep understanding of the contracting landscape, including how policy, compliance, and procurement shape product decisions. You lead by example rather than authority, mentoring product staff, driving cross-team collaboration, and representing Bellese's product philosophy with clients and the broader civic tech community. Beyond contract delivery, you are a business leader — identifying opportunities for organic growth within your program, supporting company-wide business development initiatives, and partnering with the Product Director to continuously elevate the product management practice.
The ideal candidate brings a rare blend of strategic depth, collaborative instinct, and civic purpose. You thrive in the ambiguity of consulting and bring a systems-thinking mindset to every challenge - finding opportunity in every engagement to challenge the status quo and leave things better than you found them. You are equally comfortable in executive conversations and cross-functional team workshops, with a proven ability to align stakeholders toward a shared vision — always with the user at the center. You bring at least 3 years of experience at the Principal level or equivalent and a strong command of horizon three strategy; this is not a delivery role. Experience in the public sector, federal consulting, or a highly regulated industry is a strong plus, as is a background in digital healthcare technology and a passion for mentoring others. If you're driven to shape how technology and policy work together to advance digital services, Bellese is the right place for you.
