Senior Full Stack Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer for a Direct Hire position with a client located in Pittsburgh, PA (relocation open for strong candidate). Ideally looking for applicants with a solid background in the financial services industry.

Salary Range: $130,000/yearly to $150,000/yearly (The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)

Senior Full Stack Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Strong backend development experience with Java (21+)
• Expertise in Spring Boot (3.5 preferred)
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (primary cloud platform)
• Experience designing cross-region failover & resilient systems
• Exposure to AWS or GCP is a plus
• Experience working with Oracle databases
• Familiarity with Snowflake or Databricks is a plus

• Experience in regulated environments (e.g., FedRAMP or similar)
• Strong knowledge of Secure coding practices, Encryption (symmetric vs. asymmetric), System-level security design & trade-offs
• Hands-on experience using AI tools in development workflows, including Prompt engineering for code generation, Automated test creation & validation and Debugging and reviewing AI-generated code

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong expertise in Java & Spring Boot
• Proven experience building scalable distributed systems
• Deep understanding of cloud architecture (Azure preferred)
• Experience with performance optimization & system reliability
