Job Description


Role: We are seeking a dynamic People & Culture leader to support our SVP of Strategic Operations across France and the US. This is a unique opportunity to shape a centralized human resources function within a rapidly growing organization that has expanded in our core entities (household management, creative studio, music) and through diverse ventures (art and consumer products, among others). As we scale, this role will be critical in building robust processes around people operations while fostering a supportive culture that resonates across all teams, regardless of their specific projects or locations. This individual will assist in executing a strategic vision for the business, ensuring that every employee feels empowered to contribute to our collective success as we continue to innovate. You'll work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders to implement strategic goals, making this role ideal for a self-starting, highly organized individual with excellent people skills.


Location: This role is full-time based out of our Paris office, with periodic travel to our US locations (NYC + LA)


Core responsibilities:


1. Strategic HR Leadership

  • Work with and develop HR strategies aligned with the company’s and portfolio companies’ overall business goals and objectives along side the SVP
  • Execute and roll out employment policies and programs such as; performance reviews, engagement surveys, coaching / feedback training sessions, employee handbooks, on boarding etc. to ensure consistency and compliance across the ecosystem
  • Provide strategic guidance to the leadership team on roles and scopes of existing and new hires.
  • Support on initiatives spanning culture initiatives and strengthening transformation as needed.


2. Talent Management and Acquisition

  • Work with Head of Recruitment on recruitment life cycle, from job posting and sourcing to conducting interviews and onboarding.
  • Handle all JDs, including standardized scopes with KPIs, centralized storage, contract best-practices with legal
  • Design strategy to attract talent and maintain a pool of qualified candidates who the ecosystem can tap into to quickly hire
  • Foresee the talent needs of the organization and maintain a centralized database of potential candidates and positions.
  • Support on ensuring a seamless employee experience with immigration and visas support and introductions to our third party experts


3. Employee Development and Culture

  • Promote a positive and inclusive work environment by supporting leaders in addressing employee concerns, facilitating conflict resolution by creating company wide tools and processes
  • Implement initiatives to promote a positive organizational culture.
  • Support on implementation and management of KPIs that support employee development and align with organizational goals.
  • Build a performance management process to align company goals with employees and support leaders in managing employees who are underperforming
  • Track performance and build a feedback loop into compensation.
  • Foster a culture of ownership and accountability across teams
  • Remove silos and strengthen cross-entity collaboration
  • Identify areas where professional development may be needed and coordinate training programs and development opportunities to enhance employee skills and knowledge.


4. HR Operations and Compliance

  • Oversee development and maintenance of HR policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance, consistency, and fairness across the organization.
  • Awareness of and experience with HR policies in both the US and Europe.
  • Oversee payroll in partnership with Finance and employee benefits administration including vacation.


Potential KPIs for the role: Reduction in turnover; time to find new talent; satisfaction of employees through engagement surveys


QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years in a similar role with experience in a start-up, growth minded culture specific to Human Resources and people operations
  • Impeccable discretion and judgment; experience handling confidential information and sensitive situations.
  • Outstanding written/verbal communication; ability to draft clear, high-quality emails, briefs, and notes on behalf of the SVP.
  • Strong competency and experience in payroll management
  • General understanding of French and US contract and employment law
  • Fluency with Google Workspace and Microsoft 365; strong proficiency with productivity and PM tools (e.g., Notion/Asana, Slack, Airtable) and CRM hygiene.
  • High EQ and service mindset; calm under pressure; proactive, resourceful, and relentlessly follow-through oriented.
  • Operational rigor with taste: you sweat details while understanding brand, discretion, and elevated presentation.
  • English professional fluency required; French is not required, but is a plus
