Job Description
Full Stack Engineer (Backend‑Leaning)
100% Remote (1–2x annual travel)
Base Compensation: $120–140K
A growing healthcare SaaS company is modernizing its core platform from a legacy, cloud‑heavy stack to a scalable, cost‑efficient, open‑source architecture. This is a full‑time, fully remote role focused on building the foundational platform layer that supports multiple products and enables consistency, performance, and testability across the system.
We’re looking for a backend‑leaning engineer with strong fundamentals who enjoys solving complex platform problems, establishing patterns, and helping teams build on top of shared services. While you’ll be comfortable reading across the stack, this role prioritizes depth over jack‑of‑all‑trades full stack work.
What You’ll Do
- Design and build core platform services used across multiple products
- Help modernize the stack toward Node.js/TypeScript, Golang, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and open‑source tooling
- Establish architectural patterns that improve consistency, reliability, and testability
- Collaborate with distributed product and engineering teams
- Provide thoughtful code reviews and technical guidance
- Support occasional production or client‑impacting issues while building deep system knowledge
