Job Description

Onboarding Specialist - Remote (Canada) - Travel Required

FabStation is transforming steel fabrication with augmented reality, helping teams improve accuracy, efficiency, and production workflows using cutting-edge technology.

We are a fast-growing startup looking for an Onboarding Specialist to join our Customer Success team and help fabrication teams adopt AR technology to improve accuracy, reduce rework, and bring modern workflows into real production environments.

Who We are Looking For

You have worked in steel fabrication, construction, or other related manufacturing industries, and now you want to move into tech. You understand how fabrication happens. You have trained others, solved problems on the fly, and know how frustrating inefficient workflows can be. Now you want to use that experience to help teams work smarter, not harder.

What You Will Do

As an Onboarding Specialist, you will work closely with our Customer Success Managers to guide new clients through onboarding and ensure they are set up for long-term success. You will:

  • Lead onboarding and training sessions (remote and on-site)
  • Travel to client sites to support implementation in real fabrication environments
  • Train teams on using FabStation
  • Support clients through their first projects and ensure successful adoption
  • Troubleshoot setup and workflow challenges alongside client teams
  • Share feedback with internal teams to improve onboarding and product experience
  • Maintain and improve learning guides, onboarding resources and Knowledge Base
  • Ensure clean documentation and handoffs back to Customer Success

Required Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in steel fabrication, construction, or a related industry
  • 3+ years of experience in technical onboarding, education, or implementation roles
  • Comfortable working in shop/field environments
  • Willingness to travel (including internationally)
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Highly organized, takes clear notes, and ensures smooth handoffs
  • Experience with HubSpot or similar CRM tools
  • Fast learner, comfortable picking up new technology quickly
  • Self-starter who takes initiative without constant direction
  • Team player who collaborates well across teams
  • Comfortable teaching and explaining complex concepts simply
  • Adaptable and confident working with different teams and cultures
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada (no visa sponsorship) and able to travel globally

Nice to Have:

  • Degree in education, training, or instructional design
  • Experience with drawings, models, or fabrication workflows
  • Interest in AR or emerging technologies
  • Additional languages (French and/or Spanish preferred)

Travel

  • 30-50% travel required
  • Typical trips are 2–3 days depending on client needs

Benefits:

  • Salary: $75,000–$100,000 CAD (based on experience)
  • 15 vacation days + company-wide holiday week closure (Christmas)
  • 5 paid sick days
  • $2,000 CAD tech stipend after Year 1
  • Comprehensive Medical/Dental Package
  • Company retreats
  • Fully remote work environment
  • Travel opportunities

If you are excited about working at the intersection of construction and cutting-edge technology, we would love to hear from you.
