Job Title: Industrial Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking two experienced Industrial Engineers to support multiple distribution center operations across the U.S. This role focuses on newly approved sites in Georgia and additional locations in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and New Jersey. This is a project-driven position that supports operational excellence, cost savings, and continuous improvement in a fast-growing 3PL network.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct and execute time studies, labor standards development, and capacity modeling across multiple distribution centers.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma, and RCCA methodologies.
  • Analyze operational data and apply statistical process control to improve productivity, quality, and cost performance.
  • Support new site launches and ramp-ups, including process design and workflow optimization.
  • Partner with operations leadership to identify and deliver measurable cost savings.
  • Travel independently between project sites, taking ownership of delegated initiatives.
  • Clearly document and communicate project outcomes, results, and recommendations.

Essential Skills

  • 4+ years of Industrial Engineering experience within distribution centers, warehousing, or 3PL environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with time studies and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma – Green or Black Belt preferred).
  • Proficiency in statistical process control.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering (4–5 years experience) or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering (3+ years experience).
  • Deep understanding of DC operations including picking, packing, packaging, and 3PL workflows.
  • Ability to clearly explain prior projects and contributions with specific, real-world examples.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Amazon or Amazon-style operations.
  • Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, data modeling).
  • Power BI experience.
  • AutoCAD experience.

Work Environment

This role requires a highly adaptable individual comfortable in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the opportunity to work from home when not traveling. Heavy travel is required, approximately 50–70%, especially during the initial weeks. Engineers are expected to operate independently, often traveling solo between sites, with expenses reimbursed per policy. A company credit card is provided for travel.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00/yr.

Compensation & Benefits Base Salary: $100,000 – $120,000 (based on technical interview performance) Annual Performance Bonus: ~$5,000 Annual Merit Increases based on individual and company performance Relocation Assistance (Case-by-Case): Willing to relocate the right candidate Options may include lump sum or household goods assistance Typical range: $7K–$15K, with flexibility for exceptional candidates Not a full relocation package; some out-of-pocket costs expected
