About The Role

Gauntlet is seeking a highly skilled Technical Recruiter to join its team and play a critical role in attracting top-tier engineering talent within the crypto space. This position involves managing the full lifecycle of technical recruiting, from sourcing and outreach to interviewing and closing candidates. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of crypto culture, technical fluency, and the ability to engage with highly specialized professionals such as quantitative developers, protocol researchers, and full-stack engineers.

The Technical Recruiter will work closely with engineering leadership and hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and develop tailored strategies to build diverse, high-quality talent pipelines. The role requires proactive engagement with crypto communities, leveraging on-chain reputation tools, open source contributions, hackathons, and social platforms like GitHub, Twitter, Discord, and Farcaster. The successful candidate will also advise teams on best practices for interview processes, evaluation frameworks, and candidate experience, ensuring a structured and data-driven approach to hiring.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience recruiting for technical roles, preferably in crypto, protocol development, or deep-tech environments
  • Proven track record of hiring senior engineers, quantitative researchers, or other highly specialized profiles
  • Strong understanding of core crypto concepts, particularly in DeFi
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate technical products and value propositions to candidates
  • Ability to operate independently, prioritize effectively, and build relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Familiarity with crypto communities, including GitHub, Twitter, Discord, and research DAOs
  • Experience in high-growth or remote-first hiring environments
  • Knowledge of TradFi and Web2 hiring practices that translate to Web3, such as economic modeling and incentive optimization
  • Global talent acquisition experience across multiple time zones is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Own sourcing, outreach, screening, interviewing, and closing for technical roles including quantitative developers, protocol researchers, and full-stack engineers
  • Build and maintain diverse, high-quality candidate pipelines across multiple functions
  • Ensure an exceptional candidate experience from initial contact through offer acceptance
  • Leverage on-chain reputation tools, open source contributions, hackathons, and crypto-specific channels for sourcing candidates
  • Collaborate with engineering leadership and hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and technical requirements
  • Advise teams on best practices for conducting interviews and making data-driven hiring decisions
  • Maintain structured hiring pipelines, interview scorecards, and ATS hygiene
  • Implement and refine evaluation frameworks aligned with Gauntlet’s standards
  • Proactively suggest improvements to hiring processes, outreach strategies, and employer branding in technical recruiting
