Full-Stack Developer — Cricket Connect | Remote

Cricket Connect is hiring.

We are an AI-native cricket intelligence platform operating at the intersection of artificial intelligence, elite sport, and fan engagement. Our platform delivers real-time match intelligence to fans and professional-grade analytics to coaches, analysts, and team management across the world's major T20 franchise leagues — including the IPL, Lanka Premier League, Caribbean Premier League, Big Bash League, and Vitality Blast. Our relationships include cricket boards and first-class cricket teams. Our advisory board includes former international cricketers Jimmy Adams, Roland Lefebvre, Colin Miller, and Roelof van der Merwe.

We are looking for a full-stack developer with genuine, deep cricket knowledge to join us as a core technical contributor.

THIS IS NOT A STANDARD CONTRACTOR ROLE

This is a structured entry point into a long-term technical leadership position, with a clear pathway toward Lead Developer and, for the right person, Chief Technology Officer.

We are at an early and critical stage. The people we bring in now will shape the platform, the product, and the company.

THE ROLE

You will work directly alongside our senior development partner in an initial engagement period with two clear priorities.

First: developing a deep and independent understanding of the Cricket Connect architecture, data infrastructure, and platform logic.

Second: contributing your cricket knowledge directly to the product. You will work on cricket logic models and LLM prompt engineering — translating deep cricket understanding into structured, scalable product thinking. Your cricket knowledge is not background. It is a core part of what you will be doing from day one.

You will also be on call during live matches throughout the initial engagement period. Cricket Connect is a live product, and match availability is a firm requirement of this role.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

- Full ownership of cricketconnect.ai, ipl.fan, t20.fan, and cricketconnect.pro

- Real-time data pipeline integrations — live match feeds, scorecard APIs, ball-by-ball data

- AI and LLM orchestration layer powering contextual Q&A, narrative generation, and match intelligence features

- Front-end UI implementation — responsive, fast, cricket-native design

- Back-end logic for analytics models: Win Predictor, Partnership Intelligence, Bowling Change, What If Dismissal

- Professional analytics dashboard for cricket teams, coaches, and broadcasters (CC Pro)

- Third-party data integrations and white-label capabilities

- Cloud infrastructure management, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and incident response

- Performance, uptime, and reliability during peak live-match traffic

TECH STACK

Front-end: React, responsive CSS, real-time UI components

Back-end: Node.js / Python, REST APIs

AI layer: LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic), prompt orchestration, structured outputs

Database: PostgreSQL, Redis for live caching

Infrastructure: AWS / GCP, CDN, CI/CD pipelines

Live data: Ball-by-ball match feeds, WebSocket integrations

You are not required to have used every tool listed — but you should be able to pick up any of them quickly and have strong opinions about the architecture.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Technical must-haves:

- Strong full-stack fluency across frontend and backend

- Real-time systems experience — live data pipelines, WebSocket or streaming architectures

- Hands-on experience integrating LLM APIs into production products — prompt engineering, chaining, structured outputs

- Cloud infrastructure — you can provision, manage, and optimise without DevOps support

- Product ownership mindset — you notice when something feels wrong and fix it without being asked

- Ability to build on an existing codebase without starting from scratch

Strong advantages:

- Familiarity with cricket data providers such as Sportradar, CricAPI, or similar

- Experience with WebSocket-based live sports data feeds

- Data visualisation expertise — turning complex match data into intuitive UI

- Prior startup or early-stage experience where you wore multiple hats

Cricket — essential:

- Genuine and deep understanding of the game: formats, tactics, player roles, match dynamics

- The ability to translate cricket knowledge into technical and product thinking

- Familiarity with how the game is analysed and communicated at a professional level

- This is a core requirement, not a nice-to-have

Personal:

- Ambition to lead, not just contribute

- Clear and proactive communication — this is a remote role in a small, high-trust team

- An ownership mindset — you pick up a bug on a Saturday because it is bothering you

THE PATHWAY

The initial engagement is followed by a formal assessment covering three things: architecture comprehension, cricket logic contribution, and quality of working relationship.

Those who pass move into a one-year agreement with increased responsibility and improved remuneration. Equity participation is on the table at that stage for those who continue to perform. The long-term opportunity is genuine technical leadership of the platform.
