Job Description


We're working with a dynamic Edinburgh-based professional services powerhouse on this exciting opportunity.

Are you a proactive HR professional looking to make a massive impact in a fast-paced environment? We are looking for a generalist HR expert to lead end-to-end people operations, using modern HRIS platforms and Microsoft 365 to drive employee engagement and high-performance culture throughout a 6-month fixed-term contract.

The Role

  • Lead complex Employee Relations (ER) cases including investigations, grievances, and disciplinary processes in full compliance with UK Employment Law.
  • Spearhead end-to-end recruitment strategies, managing everything from job board attraction and candidate screening to offer management and onboarding.
  • Act as a strategic partner to managers, providing data-driven insights through monthly HR KPI reporting, workforce forecasting, and headcount metrics.
  • Drive organizational change by updating HR policies and supporting performance management cycles, work reviews, and talent development initiatives.
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle within the HRIS, ensuring data integrity, confidentiality, and seamless HR administration.

What You'll Need

  • Proven experience in a generalist HR Advisor or HR Officer role with a deep understanding of UK Employment Legislation.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or working towards accreditation is highly desired for this technical advisory role.
  • Strong technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Teams) and experience navigating sophisticated HR Systems/HRIS.
  • Demonstrated success in managing high-volume sickness absence management and capability processes with a commercially focused approach.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build immediate credibility with senior stakeholders and diverse teams.
