The Role

As the Director of IT, you are responsible for overseeing all of Penta’s internal infrastructure and business applications to ensure we are secure, efficient, and effective in our operations. You also manage our IaaS service ensuring it is profitable, supports our customers' needs, and stays current with the latest security landscape. You are responsible for the growth, development and performance of Penta’s System Engineers who support Penta’s internal infrastructure and applications as well as our hosted customers. The Director of IT is a strategic problem solver, bringing fresh ideas on how to boost customer satisfaction and internal efficiency and effectiveness.

Here's what an ordinary week might look like:

• Work closely with customers to understand business needs and implement effective technical solutions in IaaS offering
• Architect, Deploy, and Troubleshoot AWS Environments
• Advise customers on best practices and infrastructure design to support Penta’s ERP
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes, automate tasks, and enhance system performance to drive operational efficiency.
• Maintain SOC2 certification and ensure Penta’s employees adhere to those policies and procedures.
• Identify and remediate cybersecurity risks to ensure security across business
• Collaborate with leadership to define the strategic roadmap for IaaS and internal infrastructure that aligns with business objectives.
• Drive IT Strategy across the business

• Stay current with Industry trends and proactively implement effective solutions
• Set clear goals and expectations of team members, providing guidance and support to drive performance.
• Manage relationships and budgets with vendors and partners to ensure collaboration and alignment.
• Service as the SME and final point of escalation for internal team members and partners

This job is for you if you have:

• Proven track record of architecting, deploying, and troubleshooting various business networks
• In-depth knowledge of architecting, administering, and improving AWS cloud environments.
• Expert understanding cybersecurity practices and IAM practices and experience implementing them in varying scenarios.
• Professional experience in: Oracle DB on Linux, Windows Server, Networking, AWS Cloud
• Strong track-record of driving IT strategy across teams, including developing policies and procedures
• SOC2 Type II auditing experience
• Strong problem-solving skills and root-cause analysis capabilities
• Strong ability to proactively identify risk and come up with remediations
• Strong ability to work independently
