Senior Backend Engineer (C#, .NET, Azure)

About TrialView:

TrialView is a fast-growing legal tech startup building the next generation of AI-powered tools for litigation, case preparation, and evidence review. Their platform combines advanced document management, real-time collaboration, and generative AI to help legal teams work smarter and faster.

Schedule: Full-time position of 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm Irish time.

Location: Remote (Ireland based).

What you’ll do:

• Develop and evolve backend services using C#, .NET, Azure Functions, and event-driven architecture, ensuring scalable and maintainable system design. 
• Drive rapid delivery of new backend capabilities in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment, making pragmatic engineering tradeoffs to sustain velocity.

• Take full ownership of backend initiatives from design, implementation, deployment and iteration.
• Proactively unblock work using assumptions, mocks, and scaffolding where needed.
• Continuously enhance system reliability, observability, and operational clarity while collaborating closely with Product and the CTO to align scope, priorities, and delivery outcomes.

What you’ll need:

• 7+ years of experience in C# / .NET backend development, with hands-on expertise in designing and operating scalable, event-driven or distributed systems.
• Strong production experience with Azure services (Functions, queues, storage, or similar).
• Experience with Cosmos DB or similar NoSQL databases is a plus.
• A proven track record of owning backend systems end-to-end (build, deploy, operate).
• Active user of AI-assisted or agent-based development tools to accelerate delivery.
