Job Title: Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer

Job Location: Irvine, CA Fully Remote – equipment provided

Job Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $36 to $43 per hour

Reports To: VP of Information Technology

Frasco is seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to support the delivery of high-quality, scalable software solutions across both strategic initiatives and ongoing business operations. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and usability of customer-facing and internal systems across the organization.

The QA Engineer will work across multiple projects as well as business-as-usual enhancements and support efforts. This includes testing new features, validating system integrations, and maintaining quality standards across evolving platforms such as customer portals, intake and assignment workflows, and core business systems.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced in both manual and automated testing, with the ability to partner closely with product, engineering, and business teams to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute QA strategies that align with business goals and technical requirements
  • Perform functional, regression, and end-to-end testing across web applications, APIs, and integrated systems
  • Build and maintain automated test solutions to improve efficiency and test coverage
  • Validate data integrity, system interactions, and third-party integrations
  • Identify, track, and support resolution of defects and production issues
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure usability, performance, and reliability
  • Champion QA best practices and contribute to scalable, repeatable testing frameworks

Requirements

  • 3–6+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or Software Testing
  • Experience testing web applications, APIs, and integrated systems
  • Experience working in Agile environments and supporting both projects and BAU operations
  • Experience with test management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira)
  • Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright)
  • Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman)
  • Understanding of SDLC and CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with data validation and SQL is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities
  • Collaborative, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with enterprise or CRM platforms (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics)
  • Experience building or scaling test automation frameworks
  • Production support or incident management experience
  • Basic knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
