Job Title: QA Automation Engineer - 3D Platforms
Job Type: 100% Remote
Job Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Experience: 4+ Years
Pay Rate: 55 to 58 CAD per hour
Role Summary
We are hiring for this role where the selected candidate will work on a project focused on building interactive 3D applications across web, mobile, and desktop platforms. This role involves ensuring high product quality through automation, testing strategies, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform end-to-end testing of interactive applications across web, mobile, and desktop platforms
- Build and maintain automated test suites using tools like Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium
- Work closely with developers to define and create acceptance tests for new features
- Create and update test plans to support ongoing feature development
- Investigate failed test cases, debug issues, and report bugs clearly
- Use AI-assisted tools like GitHub Copilot or similar to improve testing workflows
- Install and test pre-release or nightly builds to catch issues early
- Collaborate within sprint cycles and contribute throughout the development lifecycle
- Share updates on test coverage, results, and improvements with the team
- Support and promote best practices in quality engineering

Must-Have Skills
- 3+ years of experience testing complex applications across web, mobile, and desktop
- Strong experience with automation tools like Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or Cursor
- Hands-on experience creating and maintaining test plans.
- Good understanding of QA processes, automation strategies, and reporting
- Comfortable testing pre-release or nightly builds locally
- Strong communication skills in English
- Ability to quickly learn new tools and adapt to changing environments
