A Christian academic Recruiter is searching for an experienced K-12 private school Administrator with a minimum of 5 years leadership experience for a faith based 501c3, K-12 school in Turlock, CA. Turlock, a charming city in the beautiful foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains is known as “A Hidden Gem in the Heart of the Central Valley,” a warm and deeply engaged community. It is 1.5 hours from Fresno, under 2 hours from San Francisco, and just 45 minutes from Stockton.
Turlock Christian School is an independent, non-denominational nonprofit, with a proud 55-year legacy, 580 students currently enrolled in Preschool-12th grade and 64 teachers on 3 campuses. With the current Head of School departing at the end of this school year for family reasons, we are seeking a visionary leader with equally strong knowledge in both the business and academics of a private school of this caliber. The ideal candidate will be eager to commit to a long-term tenure of 5-7+ years.
This position reports to the school’s Board of Directors. The compensation package includes an annual salary range to $180,000 depending on experience, which may include individualized arrangements for relocation, housing, among other needs, and executive benefits. Preferred start date is June 2026, with flexibility for the right candidate. An excellent Transition Team is in place to ensure a smooth change in leadership.

Turlock Christian School (TCS) is seeking an exceptional leader to serve as its next Head of School, a visionary educator and administrator of deep Christian faith who will inspire, unite, and elevate the TCS community. The Head of School, in partnership with school leadership, is entrusted with upholding and advancing the Distinctives and mission of Turlock Christian School (TCS) and shepherding the school in model, vision, mission, and advancement. As Lead Educator and Administrator of the school, the Head of Schools is responsible for the daily life and operations of the school and for implementing their vision and mission.
The Head of School builds, trains and leads a highly qualified faculty and staff, and together they attend to the intellectual, spiritual, emotional, social, and physical growth of each child. Administratively, the Head of School will supervise the effective development of TC’s educational program, increase enrollment and retention, manage finances, and provide input to the Board of Directors on these initiatives. The Head of School will almost always be on campus during regular school hours, overseeing day-to-day operations, while prayerfully and discreetly helping to mitigate any conflict that arises within the school community.
The Head of School will also be an asset to the Board of Directors and other members of school leadership as a resource and strategic visionary, with an ex officio, non-voting seat on the Board of Directors.

The Head of School is a full-time employee of TCS, working an average of 40 or more hours per week, including regular school hours, evenings, and weekends as the needs of the school require. This is an executive-level role that demands the presence, passion, and investment befitting a leader entrusted with the flourishing of an entire school community. A competitive compensation package will be commensurate with experience.

• Master’s Degree in a Educational Leadership, Curriculum & Instruction, or a closely related field is required.
• Several years of experience as a classroom teacher, ideally in a K-12 school setting.
• Demonstrated history of effectiveness in leadership of a Christian school.
• Demonstrated acumen for mentoring and guiding the professional development of classroom teachers.
• Proven record of quickly assimilating into new environments, identifying areas for improvement and affecting change, while cultivating positive relationships.
