Job Title: Human Resource Generalist

Department: Human Resources

Location: Remote 

Reports To: HR Manager 

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt 

Job Type: Part-Time (Under 30 hours)

Role Summary 

Eskaton Consulting is seeking a Human Resources Generalist (Part-Time) to support day-to-day HR operations, talent processes, onboarding coordination, documentation management, and culture initiatives.


This role will provide immediate support to the HR function and help maintain continuity during leadership leave periods while also contributing to long-term HR department growth.


The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, responsive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced consulting environment.


Duties/Responsibilities:


HR Operations & Administration


  • Maintain employee records, HR documentation, and filing structures in SharePoint and HR systems
  • Support HRIS updates including manager changes, onboarding tasks, and document tracking
  • Monitor onboarding checklists and follow up with team members on required items
  • Assist with background check coordination and new hire logistics


Talent Coordination & Recruiting Support


  • Schedule interviews and coordinate candidate communications
  • Track applicant progress and support hiring workflow documentation
  • Assist with job description updates and recruiting process improvements


Training & Development Support


  • Assist in developing training materials, presentations, and policy refresh communications
  • Support rollout of monthly or quarterly learning initiatives
  • Help maintain HR resource libraries and process documentation


Process & SOP Development


  • Support creation and refinement of HR Standard Operating Procedures
  • Track recurring HR activities and recommend process improvements
  • Help build scalable resources to support firm growth


Culture & Employee Experience


  • Support culture initiatives and engagement activities
  • Assist in responding to team member questions related to policies, benefits, and processes
  • Reinforce Eskaton’s T.E.A.M. values through daily interactions


Cross-Functional Coordination


  • Partner with Operations, Finance, IT, and Leadership on personnel-related needs
  • Help ensure responsiveness to leadership requests and internal inquiries 


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of progressive HR experience, with demonstrated success managing full-scope HR functions.
  • Proven expertise in talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, documentation, and training and development.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance requirements
  • Experience developing and implementing HR strategies in small to mid-sized organizations.
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable with Microsoft 365, scheduling platforms, and virtual
  •  collaboration tools


Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience in a startup, high-growth, or consulting environment
  • Familiarity with brand storytelling or basic content creation
  • Experience with Rippling HRIS


Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Strong organization and document management skills
  • Ability to prioritize competing tasks and manage shifting needs
  • Detail orientation and follow-through
  • Comfort learning new HR systems and collaboration platforms
  • Strong interpersonal skills and relationship-building capability
  • High integrity and professionalism in handling sensitive information
  • Proficiency with HR systems and tools to streamline operations and improve employee experience.
  • Well-versed in Microsoft 365 (Teams, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Sharepoint)
  • Well-versed in HRIS systems preferably; Rippling


Work Model & Hours

  • Part time (Under 30 hours a week)
  • Fully remote role
  • Core collaboration hours typically fall between 10 AM – 3 PM EST
  • Flexible scheduling based on workload and business needs
  • Hourly structure with opportunity to expand scope and hours as the firm grows


Physical Requirements: 

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines and shifting priorities
