Power BI Developer for OEM Battery Manufacturing Plant

Brooksource's Data Practice is supporting an OEM's Battery Manufacturing plant in a pre-production facility targeting production launch in mid-2026. This greenfield data initiative will deliver real-time lineside dashboards and executive reporting capabilities ahead of the plant go-live date. The Power BI Developer will be hands-on building dashboards that support both real-time manufacturing operations and executive-level decision-making. This role is highly execution-focused and ideal for a true BI developer who enjoys transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards used by both plant-floor operations and executive stakeholders
• Develop dashboards across two primary use cases:

• Line-side dashboards focused on near real-time manufacturing metrics (throughput, uptime, defects, etc.)
• Executive dashboards focused on trends over time, aggregated plant-level data, and business metrics (labor, headcount, cost, performance)
• Partner closely with data engineers to execute against an existing project plan and defined data sources
• Work with near real-time and batch data sources, understanding tradeoffs around latency and refresh cycles
• Support an initial proof of concept (POC) dashboard build that will serve as a model for future scaled deployments

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience developing dashboards using Power BI
• Solid SQL skills for querying and transforming data
• Experience working with real-time or near real-time data sources (or strong understanding of streaming vs. batch data)
• 3–5 years of experience as a BI Developer or similar analytics role
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving, execution-focused environment
