Key Responsibilities
Lead the configuration, maintenance, and support of SAP HR (HCM) modules (e.g., Personnel Administration, Organizational Management, Time Management, Payroll).
Ensure system availability, performance, data integrity, and security.
Manage system upgrades, patches, and enhancements in collaboration with IT teams.
Oversee integrations between SAP HR and other enterprise systems (e.g., finance, payroll, recruitment platforms).
Drive end-to-end HRIS implementation projects, including requirement gathering, solution design, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
Lead SAP HR transformation initiatives, including migration to SAP SuccessFactors (if applicable).
Act as the functional lead in system rollouts, upgrades, and digital HR transformation programs.
Develop project plans, timelines, and deliverables aligned with business objectives.
Design and deliver HR dashboards, reports, and analytics using SAP reporting tools (e.g., SAP Query, SAP Analytics Cloud).
Analyze workforce data to provide insights on talent management, workforce planning, attrition, and performance.
Support data-driven decision-making across HR and executive leadership.
Ensure data governance, quality, and compliance with POPIA/GDPR regulations.
Partner with HR Business Partners to understand operational needs and translate them into system solutions.
Provide expert-level SAP HR guidance and support to HR teams.
Act as a liaison between HR and IT departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and user adoption initiatives.
Identify opportunities to streamline and automate HR processes using SAP HR capabilities.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, user experience, and system functionality.
Document and standardize HRIS processes, policies, and procedures.
Implement best practices aligned with global HRIS standards.
Ensure HR systems comply with local and international labor laws and data protection regulations.
Maintain audit readiness and support internal/external audits.
Implement role-based access controls and data security measures.
Contribute to IT and HR governance frameworks.

A client of ours is looking for a Senior HRIS Consultant (SAP HR) for a French company launching a branch in South Africa.



Position Overview


The Senior HRIS Consultant (SAP HR) is responsible for the strategic management, optimization, and continuous improvement of Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), with a primary focus on SAP HR (HCM). The role combines deep functional HR knowledge with technical SAP expertise to support HR operations, data analytics, and digital transformation initiatives.


This position partners closely with HR leadership, IT teams, and business stakeholders to ensure that HR systems are aligned with organizational goals, compliant with regulatory requirements, and capable of delivering actionable workforce insights.


Key Responsibilities


HRIS Management & SAP HR System Administration

  • Lead the configuration, maintenance, and support of SAP HR (HCM) modules (e.g., Personnel Administration, Organizational Management, Time Management, Payroll).
  • Ensure system availability, performance, data integrity, and security.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Postgraduate qualification (advantageous).


Certifications

  • SAP HCM / SAP HR Certification (*preferred*).
  • Additional certifications (advantageous):
  •  SAP SuccessFactors
  •  HR Analytics / Data Analytics
  •  Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2)


Experience

  • 7–10+ years of experience in HRIS, with strong SAP HR/HCM expertise.
  • Proven experience in SAP HR implementations and support.
  • Experience working in complex, multi-national environments (preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience in HR data analytics and reporting.


Technical Skills
