About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled WordPress Developer to join our team on a contract basis. This fully remote position offers the flexibility to work from anywhere, with a preference for candidates located in the Pittsburgh area or within the Eastern Standard Time zone. As a WordPress Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality WordPress websites that meet client specifications and business objectives. You will collaborate closely with designers, marketers, and other developers to create engaging, user-friendly, and visually appealing websites that enhance user experience and drive results. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for creating innovative web solutions.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in WordPress development, demonstrating a solid understanding of core web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory if equivalent practical experience is demonstrated. Proficiency with version control systems such as Git is essential for managing code changes efficiently. Experience in custom theme and plugin development is highly desirable, along with a strong understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
