Senior Systems Engineer

We are working with an exciting client that is looking to add a skilled Senior Systems Engineer to manage on-prem and Azure based servers focused around things like building servers, managing Azure Portal for subscriptions/resources..etc, DR, Security/IAM, M365 and other tasks.

This role will likely be structured as contract-to-hire (or possibly full-time) and will be 100% remote. Target pay rate range will likely be somewhere around $55.00 - $80.00 per hour and around $110,000 - $140,000 salary upon conversion.

Job Responsibilities for the Senior Systems Engineer:

• Operate and maintain cloud and hybrid infrastructure across cloud and on prem platforms.
• Deploy resources and services following architectural designs and operational standards.
• Administer and support Okta, Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, and hybrid identity integrations (AD Connect, SSO, MFA).
• Support and maintain Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, and Intune.
• Implement policies for compliance, data retention, DLP, and security across M365 services.

Job Qualifications for the Senior Systems Engineer:

• 7+ years in IT infrastructure, with at least 3+ years managing cloud operations in cloud platforms.
• Strong background in Azure, AWS, I&M, and Microsoft services.
• Strong experience with ITIL processes (incident, problem, change, configuration management).
• Hands-on experience with automation repetitive tasks.
• Proficiency with monitoring platforms and proactive performance management.
• Familiarity with IAM, RBAC, Zero Trust, encryption, and vulnerability remediation in cloud environments.
• Understanding of on-premises systems (VMware, Windows/Linux, AD, SAN/NAS) and integration with cloud.

Employment Type: 6-month contract to hire

Compensation: $55.00 - $80.00 per hour, W2
