Senior IT Retail Business Analyst

I am working with one of our top clients looking to add a skilled Senior IT Retail Business Analyst to help with several retail-focused projects under a larger retail transformation the organization is currently working through. In this role, you will help with Business Analyst duties around things like large migration projects for front-end and backend systems for things like Point of Sale, purchasing, merchandising, and other systems. We are seeking a skilled IT Business Analyst who is experienced in stakeholder management, working within JIRA, streamlining workflows, and other areas.

This role is 100% remote and will start out as a contract role for around 6 months, with the potential to turn into a long-term position via conversion to full-time or extension (w-2 or C2C). For W2, we'd be offering somewhere around $60.00 - $80.00 per hour, potentially more for the right candidate.

Job Responsibilities for the Senior Business Analyst:

• Lead documentation of project scope, business use cases, and system dependencies to establish clarity and alignment across business and technology stakeholders
• Facilitate cross-functional discussions to validate requirements, confirm impacts, and ensure alignment across impacted stakeholder groups throughout the delivery lifecycle
• Own creation and maintenance of epics and user stories in JIRA, and lead requirements walkthrough and refinement sessions with technology and business teams to ensure readiness for development
• Partner with delivery leadership to support development of the implementation plan by identifying dependencies, sequencing considerations, risks, and alignment requirements across workstreams

Job Qualifications for the Senior Business Analyst:

• 7+ years experience as an IT Business Analyst
• Experience working on large retail system migration projects
• Experience working with JIRA/Confluence

Employment Type: 6-month contract, potential to extend

Compensation: $60.00 - $82.00 per hour, W2

Location: 100% Remote
