Remote Full Stack Engineer (React, Node.js)

Careerscape is hiring a Remote Full Stack Engineer on behalf of our client, a high-growth technology company based in Austin, TX. Compensation: 100,000 – $130,000/ year · plus bonus opportunity

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable full stack web applications using React and Node.js
• Develop RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services and data sources
• Write clean, well-tested, and well-documented code following engineering best practices
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver high-quality features
• Participate in code reviews, technical planning, and architecture discussions
• Optimize application performance across both frontend and backend layers
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues quickly and effectively
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement through innovation and feedback

Requirements

• 3+ years of full stack software engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in React.js and Node.js
• Experience with RESTful API development and integration
• Solid understanding of databases — SQL and/or NoSQL (PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and agile development workflows
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience
• Experience with TypeScript or GraphQL is a plus
