The School of Science has a strong track record of excellence in teaching and research in our two disciplines: Computing and Security/Science and Mathematics. Within the Computing and Security discipline area, our activities orient around Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology and Security Science. We offer a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses and have active research programs specifically oriented around Cyber Security and AI/Machine Learning. The discipline is based at the Joondalup campus of ECU with the new City Campus activating in 2026.

About You

We are seeking a motivated academic to directly support our cyber security education portfolio. This is an exceptional opportunity to pursue teaching and research in a field of global strategic importance. And to become a leader not only at ECU, but across Australia and internationally.

Applicants Should Have

• Strong technical cyber security expertise in areas such as network security, ethical hacking, cloud security, identity management, SOC/SIEM operations;
• Research interests aligned with at least one of the CSDF priority areas;
• At least two years of post-PhD academic experience, including teaching and learning responsibilities;
• A proven research track record commensurate with the level of appointment;
• Demonstrable research trajectory suitable for Future Fellowship applications as part of your research growth plan.
