Fondazione Chips-IT is seeking a motivated IT Support Specialist to join our technical team. The selected candidate will provide first-level technical support and play a key role in managing the Foundation's IT infrastructure and digital collaboration ecosystem.
This position offers the opportunity to work within a high-tech, international research environment, ensuring the operational efficiency of the systems powering Italy’s national semiconductor strategy.
This position is based in Pavia, with interaction with all Fondazione Chips-IT operational units.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Provide first-level help desk support for hardware and software issues, including the installation and management of network printers, peripherals, and VoIP systems.
- Microsoft 365 & Identity Management: Manage user accounts, security groups, and mailboxes within the M365 tenant, ensuring seamless access and security.
- Endpoint & Infrastructure Management: Configure Windows workstations via Microsoft Intune and assist in the maintenance of on-premise infrastructure based on Windows Server 2025.
- Collaboration Tools: Support and troubleshoot workflows for Microsoft Teams (including Teams Rooms hardware), SharePoint Online, and OneDrive.
Requirements
- Technical Expertise: Proven knowledge of Microsoft 365 (licensing, tenants) and experience in system administration using Active Directory and Group Policy (GPO).
- Networking & Hardware: Solid understanding of LAN, TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP services, combined with hands-on experience in PC staging and domain joining.
- Education & Background: Academic or professional background in IT or Computer Science with a strong aptitude for problem-solving.
- Communication & Mindset: Proactive team player with the ability to provide clear technical assistance to diverse departments.
- Nice to Have: Previous experience in corporate IT environments (even entry level), familiarity with virtualization (Hyper-V/VMware), and proficiency in technical English.
