Position Title: BI Reports Developer

Position Responsibilities:

As a BI Reports Developer, you will play a critical role in the design and implementation of reporting solutions for a newly built application environment. This position is highly hands-on and offers the unique opportunity to create new reports from the ground up, as there are no existing reports to inherit or maintain. Your work will directly impact business decision-making processes.

• Work with Power BI as the primary reporting tool to create robust, scalable, and visually appealing reports and dashboards.

• Develop and maintain the reporting layer to support organizational needs, ensuring data integrity and performance.
• Build reports from scratch for a brand-new system, collaborating with key business users and technical stakeholders to capture reporting requirements.
• Provide post-launch support for the reporting solutions, addressing enhancements, troubleshooting, and ongoing reporting needs as they evolve.
• Develop and deliver reporting solutions tailored for a newly built application environment, ensuring flexibility and scalability.

Essential Skills, Experience

• Proven experience as a Reporting Developer with a strong focus on building new reporting solutions, not just maintaining existing reports.
• Expertise in using Power BI as the core reporting platform, with demonstrated skill in developing end-to-end reporting solutions.
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) for report deployment and management.
• Strong skills in SQL, including query optimization, data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes as required for reporting.
• Ability to work independently as a true reporting-focused developer, taking ownership of report development from requirement gathering through delivery and support.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with business stakeholders, understand reporting needs, and translate them into actionable reporting deliverables.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Experience with Databricks is a plus, but not required.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-impact environments with minimal supervision.
