About The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join our dynamic team remotely from India. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing complex data sets, developing insightful dashboards, and supporting infrastructure and capacity planning initiatives within cloud environments. The ideal candidate will possess advanced SQL skills, particularly with Google SQL, and have experience working with cloud platforms and visualization tools. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects, optimize data processes, and collaborate with a global team to drive strategic decision-making. You will play a critical role in ensuring data accuracy, automating reporting workflows, and providing actionable insights to various stakeholders across the organization.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have a strong educational background in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Data Science, or related disciplines. Proven experience with SQL, especially Google SQL, is essential. Familiarity with cloud infrastructure concepts, including virtual machines, compute capacity, and cloud product fundamentals, is required. Experience with dashboard building tools such as Looker or internal dashboards is preferred. Proficiency in Google Sheets and Google Apps Script for automation purposes is necessary, along with basic knowledge of Java to enhance spreadsheet functionalities. Candidates should also have experience working with ticketing or bug tracking systems like Buganizer used by Google. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with large datasets are critical. Excellent communication skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work effectively within a remote, distributed team are also essential. Prior experience with Google or references from Google is a plus.

Responsibilities

As a Data Analyst at Apex Systems, your key responsibilities will include:

• Perform advanced data analysis using SQL, ensuring data integrity and identifying insights that support business objectives.
• Develop, automate, and maintain dashboards and reports using tools such as Looker and internal visualization platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Assist in infrastructure and capacity planning by analyzing cloud resource utilization and performance metrics.
• Identify data quality issues, troubleshoot discrepancies, and implement corrective measures to maintain high data standards.
• Utilize Google Sheets and Google Apps Script to automate workflows, streamline reporting processes, and enhance data accessibility.
• Apply basic Java knowledge within spreadsheet environments to develop custom solutions and improve data processing capabilities.
• Manage and track issues using ticketing systems like Buganizer, ensuring timely resolution and documentation of bugs or system enhancements.
