This is a remote role for a QA / Automation Tester with 7–10 years of experience. The QA/Automation Tester will be executing test plans and cases for various applications, performing both manual and automated testing, and ensuring APIs function as intended.
JD: We are looking for a skilled Senior Automation Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will be an expert in Cypress automation, JavaScript, Jasmine framework, and possess 6+ years of experience in quality assurance.
Responsibilities:
- Create and execute Cypress automation testing for our transformation projects.
- Development and support of High-quality test automation code.
- Develop and implement automation solutions in Cypress, following best practices and guidelines to ensure consistency and maintainability of automation efforts.
- Monitor and analyze automated test results, identifying failures, actively troubleshooting and resolving issues.
- Conduct a comprehensive range of tests via automation, including Smoke, Unit, Functional, Integration, System, Interface, Batch, Performance, Environment, Exploratory, and Regression tests for applications on feasible candidates.
- Creating, Enhancing, Debugging and Running Test cases.
- Regular work on optimizing code quality and improving reliability indicators in the script development process.
- Identifying quality issues and creating the test reports.
- Perform manual testing when necessary and collaborate with the testing team.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
- Designing and Implementing Test Automation strategy.
- Create Automation Test Plan and get approvals.
- Configuring with the Test Environment and involving in the Env set up.
- Identifying the Automation feasible code and where automation can improve the quality.
- Able to integrate automation status with the stories/requirements in Jira, Xray etc. to view the automation status

Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in quality assurance and automation testing.
- 6+ years of experience in Cypress automation, JavaScript, and Jasmine framework.
- 4+ years of Manual Testing Experience
- 2+ Experience in DB testing like SQL, DB2, etc.
- 2+ years of expertise in IBM i (System i, iSeries, AS400) operations
- Expertise in web application development technologies
- Strong understanding of QA skills required for transformation projects.
